Crystal Palace Eyeing Filip Kostic as Juventus Exit Looms, Aiming to Beat Bournemouth to the Deal
1 min readFilip Kostic is on the verge of leaving Juventus, with the Serbian winger excluded from the club’s pre-season squad. Juventus manager Thiago Motta has made it clear that players left out of the selection are not part of his plans for the upcoming season.
Although Kostic’s time at Juventus didn’t quite live up to the heights of his tenure at Eintracht Frankfurt, a move to the Premier League still seems likely. According to TuttoJuve, Crystal Palace are seriously interested in securing Kostic’s services, with their interest described as “real.”
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is familiar with Kostic from their time together in Germany, and the club is looking to bring in a versatile full-back to compete with Tyrick Mitchell. The potential transfer fee of around £7 million, or possibly even less, makes this an attractive and feasible option for the Eagles.
Bournemouth have also expressed interest in the 31-year-old, but Crystal Palace are determined to “overtake” their Premier League rivals in the race for Kostic. Talks between Crystal Palace and Juventus have reportedly already begun, as the pursuit of Kostic continues to unfold.
