Crystal Palace’s Absentees and Academy Prospects Ahead of Nottingham Forest Clash

Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Crystal Palace will be without Odsonne Edouard and Matheus Franca for their upcoming match against Nottingham Forest.
Edouard sustained an injury during the mid-season training camp in Marbella and subsequently missed the recent victory over Bodo/Glimt. Although the injury isn’t severe, Edouard is undergoing rehabilitation and could return to action in the following week.
On the other hand, Franca has been sidelined with a groin problem, which has proven to be more challenging to manage. Despite efforts to increase his training intensity, Franca continues to experience pain, and there is uncertainty surrounding his return timeline.
Glasner expressed his confidence in the squad’s depth, highlighting the inclusion of academy prospects like Roshaun Mathurin, who impressed during the international break. Mathurin’s performance in a friendly against Millwall earned him a spot in the squad for the Nottingham Forest clash, showcasing Glasner’s willingness to reward promising talent.
With key players unavailable, including Edouard and Franca, Crystal Palace will rely on their depth and emerging talents to navigate the challenges posed by Nottingham Forest.
