Loan Update: Balmer Secures First Clean Sheet in Away Fixture

1 min read

The resumption of domestic fixtures has brought Crystal Palace’s loaned players back into action across various locations. Here’s a summary of their recent performances:

Center-back Kofi Balmer, whose last week’s match was postponed, showcased a solid defensive performance against Stevenage. Balmer, returning to action last month after recovering from an injury, played the entire 90 minutes for the second consecutive game. He successfully helped his team keep a clean sheet on the road, denying three goal attempts from Stevenage. Additionally, Balmer had a notable moment at the opposite end when his header was tipped over the bar.

In other Football League news, Owen Goodman maintained his consistent presence in Colchester United’s League Two campaign, playing in every game so far. However, his team suffered a 2-1 defeat against Harrogate, who scored two well-taken goals.

Midfielder Killian Phillips completed his first full 90 minutes of the season for Wycombe Wanderers in an away match against Peterborough United. Following his first assist last weekend, Phillips came close to securing another as the teams played to a 2-2 draw.

Forwards John-Kymani Gordon and Luke Plange both made appearances off the bench for Cambridge United and Carlisle United, respectively. Unfortunately, both teams experienced 1-0 defeats in their recent fixtures.
